Described as ‘Forward-thinking Drum and Bass from Australia’ we were asked by Royalston to develop an interactive promotional site for for the release of his debut album. By using the HTML5 canvas element and using the same Box2D engine used in popular games such as Angry Birds we were able to tie in with the album artwork concept and create an interactive physics experience that encouraged users to engage with the website and the artists’s music.
Although performance on some devices is hindered due to lack of GPU access the physics engine performs quite well on multiple devices including Mac and PC desktop as well as mobile and tablet browsers. The site utilises responsive design allowing the interactive environment to grow and stretch to the browser window, having a fun effect on the objects in the scene.
