Recent Work – National Screenwriters’ Conference

Code and Visual worked with Dylan Martin to design and build The Australian Writers’ Guild’s National Screenwriters’ Conference website and related marketing material.

As the conference details were to be continuously refined and adjusted throughout the lead up to the event we used wordpress to allow the editors at the AWG to add, manage and edit content without the need for a developer to implement.

Combined with a fresh approach to the design by Dylan Martin the site provides a suitable introduction to the conference for prospective attendees.

Recent Work – Design Portfolio Build (Bettina Winkler)

Bettina Winkler contacted Code and Visual to build her portfolio off designs she provided. We suggested the use of WordPress to easily allow her to add, remove and re-order the projects and image galleries in the site.

Working closely with Bettina we took great care to match the designs as exactly as possible when converting the supplied files into HTML. The site features a responsive design that allows it to reformat the content display depending on the width of the browser and type of device it is loaded on.

Recent Work – E-commerce site: Nathan Paul

Code and Visual was contracted by Design Identity to build the Nathan Paul portfolio and e-commerce site using the Business Catalyst platform by Adobe.
The photography in the site helps to create a strong impact and the use of the androgynous model Andrej Pejic adds extra interest value.

The shopping cart display was highly customised using jQuery and JavaScript to allow dynamic detail zooming of products in an easy and intuitive way for the user.

Recent Work – Tinine HTML / Javascript site.

We built this very simple mini site for the Tinine group using Adobe’s Business Catalyst as the back end system which combines CMS + CRM (and many other features) into the one product. Once again Design Identity contracted Code and Visual to fulfill their design into a working content managed site.

Javascript and jQuery were used to give the site simple but engaging interactive touches that would have previously been the territory of a Flash website.

Recent Work – Merapi

Josephine Lie contacted Code and Visual after having us recommended to her by one of our previous happy clients. As part of her project about the 2010 eruption of Merapi, Josephine had decided to compile her videos and interviews of the residents around Merapi into an interactive map.

By using Rainbow we were easily able to organise all of the data and thematic connections between the project subjects in a dynamic way. This allowed Josephine to edit and fine tune the structure of the site well after the development process was completed.

Recent Work – Style HQ

Code and Visual was contracted by Design Identity to build the Style HQ site using slick javascript interactivty with an Expression Engine back end.

The site makes extensive use of jQuery to provide slick animation and interactivty that would have previously required Flash. Style HQ is a fashion wholesaler and their website required a range of brands to be displayed within the site, each being displayed with the same backend template and allowing dynamic Facebook ‘Like’-ing for each brand.

A custom built blog was also included with dynamic social linking information.
