M&C SAATCHI contracted Code and Visual to produce two media players for the Gorillaz site “Plastic Beach Watch”. The Video and MP3 files are both fed externally from XML files and are situated on an HTML page.
Local Connection allows the two players to communicate so that they are not playing over each other. The video player also contains some programmatic visual effects to create old style video distortion on random screens.

Code and Visual has produced various digital props for Channel 7’s successful drama “Packed to the Rafters”.
Typically these involve replicating the use of an email client or web browser for use by an actor on screen. Most of these are built to be “fool proof” so that no matter what the actor does, the correct feedback will appear on screen.
We focus on making these digital props easy to install and reset in order to cater to the demands of the shooting process.
